FourKites has a great platform for checking over the road shipments
What do you like best about the product?
The support that we receive from the team is excellent. They have a quick response and help answer any questions that we have.
What do you dislike about the product?
Carrier compliance would be the only negative about the platform. A portion of the tracking still relays on carrier involvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a solution to locate and track our trucks over the road from pickup to delivery. Carriers are not quick to share this information and in some cases takes hours to replay on location inquires. The benefit of using Fourkites has shield light on the trips that carriers are actually taking verses what we are communicated to.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would encourage others to focus on carrier compliance of the software and provide a contact / agreement with existing carriers.
Real time visibility
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact you can see the progress of the shipment from start to finish. Also, you can keep tabs and provide real time updates. It alerts you weather, traffic and other conditions in the area. You have the ability to pull reports and look at daily metrics
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing I really dislike so far. I'm utilizing these tools to the best of my advantage and working with the carriers continuously.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are discovering station issues, patterns with carriers and being able to address them in real time. The tracking consistency report has been a great resource and we provide this directly to our customer and include in our presentations.

What do you like best about the product?
The FourKites team is great at solving problems quickly. They are very hands-on and willing to assist in any way possible to make sure our shipments are tracking as best as possible. This allows us to provide the transparency and visibility that our Customers love. Raphael Gunn has been extraordinarily helpful in assisting in our quarterly Lunch & Learn to help all employees learn the tips & tricks of FourKite utilization as well as answer any questions they may have.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our current TMS does not allow us to run FourKite reports based on individual reps as it does not feed this information to the FourKites platform. I would like to do this to monitor true percentages of FourKites usage per employee.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to update our customers in a more timely manner as well as follow up with our drivers once they depart geofence areas for pick/delivery locations if they forget to call in and report their status. Transparency and visibility is a huge asset to provide to our customers and is our largest edge over competitors.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking to step up their game in the industry. Increased on time performance, visibility, and reduced costs.
Solid Performance
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to understand the status and location of a trailer at any point in time is an absolute game changer. Before Trans and warehousing would point fingers at each other stating the truck is there or not there but now we just pull in 4Kites data and there is no debate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes trucks don't send pings (Internal Issue), which doesn’t allow us to fully utilize the tool. The website itself is definitely easy to use but way to busy, too much going on, it would be nice to see it simplified.

Understanding timing to relay issues to customers, it allows the battle between carriers and warehouse to resolved

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of putting in a load, seeing all details and easily seeing where the load is. The encrypted url we can send customers shows them exactly where a hot load is so that theh can track as well
What do you dislike about the product?
The changes are very limited to upgrades since it affects the entire user database.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
the 10% gap between the smaller carriers that are not willing to opt in to 'big brother' tracking them
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It requires being able to get buy in from the carriers as well (we have our carriers use it and we have KPI's for usage to get the data we need.

Carrier compliance is a continuing issue.

Retail OTIF requirements, predictive analysis, and automation.

I like the track load function best!!!!!

GPS fence is off, shows that trucks are onsite when they are physically not. Throws us off

When we are looking for eta or whereabouts on a load Fourkites helps us get live updates very fast.

What do you like best about the product?
I like to be able to locate the load and see if it has actually arrived or departed at my warehouse. It helps our warehouses keep track of the loads and helps us hold carriers accountable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Depending on how accurate the geofence is to our site (which I know we create), carriers can sit there and we think they have arrived but they actually have not checked in. They may be parked on the side of the road in the area.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to locate loads and figure out ETA's on our own, instead of waiting to hear back from carriers. We are also able to tell if loads have arrived or departed at our sites instead of asking the warehouses. It has closed the gap in communication between the logistics team and our sites/carriers as well as holds them accountable for providing accurate information to us.
Our supply and deployment teams use FourKites so they know when their loads are arriving at warehouses and if we are going to cut an order due to late loads. It also helps them with their cut research. They can go back in time to see when a load has actually arrived on time and figure out if it was onsite and if the warehouse didn't unload it in time for the outbound order.

This is a very helpful tool for anyone in Logistics.

What do you like best about the product?
Honestly, coming into transportation I did not have a knowledge of best practices in tracking/tracing loads. Connie certainly helped me get onboarded into FourKites and has certainly helped mold Michaels into FourKites users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the support team takes a while for responses of any issues-but its understandable.

Tracking shipments for our Michaels retail locations

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of using the platform and the reports to monitor compliance with tracking and the tracking consistency.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I had to pick something it would be the "going live" turnaround time from once we bring the Carrier to Four Kites. Overall very satisfied.

More visibility for our customers and dispatch team. Eliminated phone calls to the carriers and within the company regarding updated on out truck loads. Quicker response time to a customers request for location of the truck.
