Good tool when options are available
What do you like best about the product?
Like how I can track shipments easily - it makes my job simpler!
What do you dislike about the product?
There aren't enough carriers available to track.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving the issue of race been multiple people time.

Easily tracking the trucks to update Distribution Centers

Sometimes loads will not show up, i will have to reload the page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When DC managers ask the ETA of trucks or where the truck is to the DC, I can let the DC managers know where the truck is. I can also let the managers know ahead of time that the truck is on site for dropoff.
FourKites has mad it so easy to schedule loads. Saving me time and creating less stress

How easy it is to navigate and how quick it is to get a load scheduled

Fourkites solve miscommunication problems and the wait time it take to schedule loads

The flexibility of the platform to meet multiple customers' needs along with the high level of customer service from the staff.
What do you dislike about the product?
No specific items that we dislike. Time to implement customizations could be faster.

Real time tracking of automotive JIT deliveries. Having immediate updates at has been very beneficial.

The user friendly navigation of the site. The innovation to constantly make updates and utilization of user feedback to improve the experience

Overall there isn't much issues that i have with the four kites system

I am utilizing four kites to improve the levels of interaction between my carriers and my dc's
FourKites is invaluable
What do you like best about the product?
I love the fact that we are not only able to view load status in real-time, but also have the ability to receive these status updates into our TMS. This saves countless hours on the administrative / manual track and trace.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly to this point we have not encountered any issues that we couldn't resolve. I think the only issue we've had is timely responses from support, but that has been addressed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving 1) automation of status updates (better accuracy and timeliness) and 2) transparent communication between us, the carrier and our customers. We have realized significant improvements and gains in these areas. We have rolled our a platform to our customers and they love it too. Really happy with the benefits!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ensure you have someone dedicated to FourKites on your team who can own the use of this tool. We found the greatest benefit when we had someone who would monitor the usage and also manage onboarding and carrier compliance.

The way it assigns tasks to drivers. It could be more user friendly

I like the intuitive design of the beta website.

Sometimes, it slows down when I become idle for like 30 minutes and some tracking is not accurate.

I used FourKites mainly for tracking shipments and documents - Proof of Deliveries and Bill of Lading
Great Tool That Simplifies and Speeds-Up Operations
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to track and quickly look up the status of equipment has been beneficial. "Lost trailers" in the yard are being caught right away instead of left growing roots for weeks. The ability to designate trailer status and condition gives you the ability to view real-time yard reports anytime you want. This helps to reduce the need to bring in additional raw materials because of paperwork errors and allows the warehouse to shift their work focus quickly. Yard drivers have found the system very easy to pick up, and like that, it tells them where to find each trailer. For new drivers, it dramatically reduces the time from training to productivity.
What do you dislike about the product?
In limited situations, it would be beneficial for drivers to choose their next task instead of being auto-assigned.
Example - When the yard is at or beyond capacity, the tasks ask for dock pull-outs. If drivers could view the list of tasks and select spot-ins first, this would allow for an open spot in the yard for the pull-outs to go.
Comments should be viewable on the trailers "Load Info" tab instead of selecting a different tab. Comments are being missed without an immediate view.
Having the ability to select columns on the Equipment List page. Personally, I do not need "Free Time to Detention", "Detention Charge", and "Type". However, "Condition" would be very helpful to have immediate visibility of.
"Awaiting Unloading" at the top of the page does not seem to match "Checked In" trailer counts. Currently showing 107 at the top, but only 90 when a "Checked In" filter is applied. I have searched for "Loaded" and other designations but do not see where the missing 17 trailers are listed.

Trailers forgotten in yard because of lost paperwork in the building. With the ability to make sure the trailer is correctly entered into the system, even if paperwork is lost, we have a visual of the trailer's status so it can be corrected and not forgotten.
Excessive radio calls. All call outs have been almost eliminated.
Redundant yard moves. With better move tracking and visibility requests to move the same trailer multiple times has reduced.
