Automated deployments have streamlined hosting workflows and save significant development time
What is our primary use case?
My main use case for Netlify Platform is hosting. I host sites with environment variables or without them as a place to map over to GitHub, so every time I push, it automatically deploys to production. It is very convenient. Domain management is available in Netlify Platform, but that is not my primary use.
What is most valuable?
Netlify Platform offers many features. The automation is the best feature of Netlify Platform. It is easy to use. Netlify Platform has positively impacted my organization by being very productive. I have saved a lot of time overall. It is easier to debug if builds break, which is a workflow that has become more efficient because of Netlify Platform.
What needs improvement?
The only thing I really do not like about Netlify Platform is that when I look up an article, there is a lot of fluff instead of easily searchable content. That might be my only complaint, but I like the interface. Everything is very obvious and easy to learn.
It would be cool if Netlify Platform had suggestions on how I could use features because I know there are many features that I may not understand how they work and I am unaware of. With artificial intelligence, being able to learn based on behavior, it might provide a notification like 'Hey, this feature, here is how to learn more,' or something similar.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Netlify Platform for around six years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Netlify Platform is usually stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Netlify Platform's scalability is pretty good since I have no issues with it.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I was previously using Bluehost, and I have hosted some things through GitHub Pages. I have used DigitalOcean before, which is not necessarily hosting but more about housing different droplets. I do not do anything crazy technical, so I use SvelteKit, which is a full-stack platform for building apps, and usually Neon or I have used Supabase or local Postgres. Netlify Platform is good at handling environment variables, loading up files, and being ready to go.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing for Netlify Platform is that the pricing is reasonable. It is a small team, so it was not too expensive. It was very easy to set up a team and start adding projects.
What other advice do I have?
If others are looking into using Netlify Platform, I would advise that if you do not have crazy technical requirements, it is a very good option. Even as a solo developer, it is basically free. It is really nice if you are deploying many sites through repositories to map it to your main branch and auto-deploy. This is a game changer as a developer.
I would like to say to Netlify Platform team to keep doing what you are doing. I am looking forward to seeing what you do in the future. I give this review a rating of 10.

Effortless Deployments and Hosting with Great Developer Experience
What do you like best about the product?
My most preferred aspect of Netlify is that static sites and JAMstack sites become deployable with a one-button click or simply a push to Git. The automated/continuous deployment from Git is smooth and all the built-in features like forms, serverless functions, redirects, and preview branches simplifies the development process. The dashboard is simple to work around and the free plan is surprisingly large and reduces the time for code and preview.
What do you dislike about the product?
Netlify is good for the front-end and static websites, but there are some limits for more complex backend functionality. Lacks the logs to resolve the issues
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Netlify simplifies hosting and launching modern web applications. I need not toworry about the servers, set up the CI/CD pipelines manually, nor concern myself with hosting. It automatically deploys and builds whenever I commit code by tying into Git. This is a significant time-saver and enables me to spend more time building rather than doing DevOps. Serverless functions, rollbacks that roll out speedily, and preview deployments are things that have automated my work.
Seamless and Powerful Hosting for Modern Web Projects
What do you like best about the product?
Netlify’s simplicity and power are unmatched. Its seamless CI/CD integration makes deploying websites and web apps incredibly straightforward, even for beginners, making the ease of implementation outstanding. The intuitive dashboard, paired with preview links, has streamlined my workflow for frequent deployments. Netlify’s support team is responsive and helpful, providing clear solutions to issues, which adds to the overall positive experience. The platform’s reliability means we use it frequently for a variety of projects, from small prototypes to full-scale web apps.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Netlify is fantastic overall, the free plan has limitations on build minutes and bandwidth, which can be restrictive for scaling projects. The pricing for higher tiers can also feel steep for smaller teams or individual developers. Additionally, more advanced documentation for less common use cases would be helpful for more niche implementations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Netlify makes deploying static websites and web apps effortless by automating the entire hosting process. It eliminates the complexity of manual deployments and server management, enabling me to focus on development. The instant previews and continuous deployment from Git save time and ensure a seamless workflow. Additionally, the platform provides excellent performance and scalability for my projects without requiring extensive backend setup.

Extremely simple and fast website publishing
What do you like best about the product?
Netlify Drop makes publishing a website extremely simple, as you simply drag and drop your HTML, CSS and js files, and they take care of hosting, caching and all those technical details. You don't even need to create a user account to create a temporary live site.
What do you dislike about the product?
A minor downside is that the temporary sites you create without an account are only live for one hour, and you don't have any control over the subdomain generated for the site.

Making Website Deployment Easier
What do you like best about the product?
Netlify makes it easy to deploy websites. The integration of GitHub is probably the best feature I like. Just develop a React-based project and you can easily deploy it using Netlify. And whenever you make changes in your repository, they will be automatically deployed on Netlify.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Content Management System (CMS) requires a lot of improvement. Unlike other CMS, a developer is required to add every block to edit content, which can be painful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't have to worry about deploying my site manually. The changes I make in my GitHub repository will be deployed directly on Netlify, and it is a huge benefit for me.
