Previous user returning to the fold

  • July 01, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The new AI tools look to be particularly useful, especially for users unfamiliar with the Product Breakdown Structure or those looking for information in areas that they are unfamiliar with.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not a fan of the latest layout as, while it is clean and "unfussy" this seems to have come at the cost of the visual cues that I was previously accustomed to. I haven't had sufficient experience with the newer versions as yet to see if new visual cues build up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teamcenter allows us to keep our product data together through a complex change environments, it is also shaping up to be a core part of improving the efficiency of our production output drawings process by allowing NX to communicate with FORAN's draughting package.

Using Deployment Center to drive TC2412 CI/CD

  • July 01, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's a great PLM platform with a deep integration into several business areas. Pretty good integrations to authoring tools such as NX, E-CAD and other.
We use Change Management and Configuration Management acc. to CMII - the OOTB feature to follow an aerospace and defense implementation of CMII need to be updated deeply.
What do you dislike about the product?
the current state of using deployment center as tools to install, update or upgrade TC is not stable nor sufficient in features.
Several instabilities in UI driven environment configuration in TC2412.0005 with DC4.3 and repeating problems deploying these setups let us build up an own solution to automatically deploy our daily CI/CD approach.
feature wise there is a lack of commiting changes in dc-config to our central git-repository where we handle all changes to our environments and code-base.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storing all documents, linking to parts. handling all design data and incorporate this within the central change management into ebom management.
build up a central data backbone
run tool-driven business workflows guided by tc
