High-Performance JDBC Connectivity for Production Workloads
What do you like best about the product?
Progress DataDirect has been a critical part of our ability to deliver high-performance, enterprise-grade connectivity within our platform. The reliability and throughput of the JDBC drivers have consistently met the demands of production workloads, and the flexibility of their portfolio allows us to support a wide range of customer environments. Beyond the technology, the Progress team has been highly collaborative and responsive — making integration smooth and ongoing innovation possible.
What do you dislike about the product?
At this time, we have not identified any significant drawbacks or limitations in our use of Progress DataDirect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Progress DataDirect solves the challenge of delivering secure, high-performance, standards-based connectivity across complex enterprise environments. As a software provider integrating with multiple databases and platforms, we needed reliable JDBC drivers that could handle production-scale workloads without introducing instability or performance bottlenecks. DataDirect gives us consistent throughput, broad platform coverage, and enterprise-grade reliability — which allows us to focus on innovation in our core product while delivering fast, dependable integrations to our customers.
Solid, No-Nonsense Product That Delivers

This product stands out for its straightforward approach—there are no unnecessary extras or exaggerated claims, just reliable performance that proves its value on its own.
What do you dislike about the product?
At the moment, I can't think of anything that I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This solution offers my organization a smooth and dependable way to access and manage our data, making our workflow more efficient and organized.
Helps me organize my analytical process
What do you like best about the product?
Since I have both cloud and on-premise data this is a great asset in Hybrid Data Pipeline that connects the two. It enables using the common interfaces for getting the data such as SQL and OData to operate the data from both environments.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Hybrid Data Pipeline procedure has very limited data transformation features. This in turn means that data transformation needs to be done using different tools, which therefore adds more steps in the data pipeline.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hybrid Data Pipeline was particularly designed to solve the problem of convenient access to dataset located anywhere. It has done away with the issue of cumbersome procedures of data transfer and it enables me to use a single console to get to all my datasources.

DataDirect Allows for me to access my data from pretty much anywhere that has an Internet connection
What do you dislike about the product?
The only dislike that I have about the application is that not everyone can be on at once to update information
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to access data from anywhere in the world is very useful in before this application we were never able to do so as a company

I would recommend this application for companies that deal with a lot of data and want to have the convenience of being able to access data at anytime and anywhere you are
Robust Framework for Web Applications
What do you like best about the product?
- Easy Integration with an extension for Visual Studio.
- Can use it along with other extensions.

- Visual Studio loading is slow on start up due to Progress extension.
- Requested features take long and have to wait for new release.

- Developing responsive web applications with Progress and Micorsoft.
- Reduces time spent on building UI elements giving more time for developers.

Check and try Trial version and if you like proceed to Full version based on requirement.
