I am deploying an agentic AI application to AWS. We are building a B2B SaaS product that runs agentic workflows, and we needed a way to go from local development to production on AWS without getting buried in infrastructure complexity.
Agentic AI workflows have moved from local tests to AWS production while my team stays product focused
What is our primary use case?
How has it helped my organization?
As a small team focused on product development, Defang let us ship to AWS without hiring dedicated DevOps professionals or spending weeks manually configuring infrastructure. Time we would have spent wrestling with ECS task definitions, networking, and IAM policies was redirected straight back into building our core product. It compressed what would have been a multi-week deployment effort into something manageable.
What is most valuable?
The most valuable feature is the ability to go from a local development environment to a deployed AWS application with minimal configuration changes. For an agentic application with multiple services, not having to manually orchestrate each piece of the infrastructure was the biggest win.
What needs improvement?
Providing more details on the deployment progress within the Defang portal would be welcomed.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have used the solution for 6 months.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Defang was our first deployment tool for this project.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The pricing is fair and reasonable.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We considered managing AWS infrastructure directly but chose Defang for speed.
What other advice do I have?
It is particularly well-suited for small teams building AI/agentic applications who want to deploy on AWS without the infrastructure overhead. If you are a product-focused team that does not want to become an infrastructure team, it is worth evaluating.
