AWS Partners with Level 1 MSSP (Managed Security Service Provider) Competency provide 24x7 security protection and monitoring of AWS resources delivered as a fully managed service. These partners meet AWS’s baseline standard of quality for managed security services, Level 1 Managed Security Services (MSS), detailing technical and operational requirements for partners’ monitoring and response services of AWS environments. The Level 1 MSS baseline includes fundamental services such as: vulnerability management, monitoring for AWS service configuration to security best practices, managed detection and response (MDR), and managed web application firewall (WAF) service. The Level 1 MSSP Competency also validates partners with expertise beyond the Level 1 MSS baseline in specialization categories including: modern compute, identity behavior monitoring, managed application security testing, data privacy event management, digital forensics and incident response, business continuity and ransomware readiness.
Level 1 Managed Security Services Baseline
Level 1 Managed Security Services (MSS) are provided by AWS Level 1 MSSP Competency Partners as 24x7 fully managed security services uniquely designed in collaboration with AWS security experts to protect, monitor, and respond to security events of AWS environments. All Level 1 MSSP Competency Partners provide these baseline services in addition to any deep expertise in one or more specialization categories.
