AppLink's CLIP Integration Platform is the bridge between your enterprise-class event-, incident- and security management tools of different software vendors - it provides a combined, Closed Loop workflow for the ITIL Event, Incident, Problem and Change management process. By integrating operational tools used in an ITOM department with third-party ticketing tools of the ITSM department, Clip eliminates the need for manual and error prone actions by automatically creating incidents or other entities, and synchronizing them with the original entities during their lifecycles. The following connectors are supported (among others): AWS CloudWatch, Micro Focus Operations Bridge, ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, Cherwell, Salesforce / Remedyforce, IBM QRadar, Jira.
CLIP's AWS CloudWatch integration creates tickets in a third party Service Desk solution in response to alarms generated by AWS CloudWatch. Once a ticket has been created, it is kept in sync with the CloudWatch alarm bidirectionally. Alarms can be updated by Clip to make information about the related ticket visible to the CloudWatch operator. This way it is possible to view ticket information like ticket ID, ticket status and the assignee within the AWS console. Therefore, CLIP provides a combined lifecycle of the AWS CloudWatch alarm and the Service Desk ticket. Beyond that, Clip provides correlation and reporting and capabilities to minimize the number of tickets.
