Product Overview

Flowmon Collector is an AWS appliance for collection, long-term storage, and analysis of flow data. It supports NetFlow, IPFIX, sFlow, and other formats compatible with NetFlow. Flow data can be collected from flow enabled devices (switches, routers), Flowmon Probes, or flow sources native to AWS such as VPC Flow Logs. Flowmon Collector's functionality can be extended with Flowmon modules. The appliance is designed for deployment in the AWS EC2 environment. Its licenses differ in performance and storage capacity.

The Flowmon Collector appliance supports up to two management (administration) ports which are used for appliance configuration, management, and flow data collection. Additionally, it supports up to two 1GbE monitoring ports which provide network traffic monitoring and flow data (NetFlow/IPFIX) generation. This enables network traffic monitoring in the AWS environment without the necessity for other appliances for flow data generation.
