This Amazon Machine Image (AMI) is built on Amazon Linux 2023 and includes pre-installed open-source tools: kubectl, Helm, and eksctl. It is designed to help developers and DevOps teams interact with Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) clusters more efficiently by providing a ready-to-use environment.
All tools included in this AMI are publicly available and sourced from their respective open-source projects. Prezelfy repackages these tools and applies Center for Internet Security (CIS) hardening guidelines to offer enhanced security out of the box.

Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for the software running on your chosen Amazon EC2 instance type. The many dimensions listed are not tiers or feature levels. Each one maps to a specific EC2 instance type, spanning general purpose, compute, memory, storage, and GPU families in sizes from nano to 4xlarge. The software delivers the same hardened kubectl host in every case. Your hourly cost scales with the instance you select, so a larger or more specialized instance costs more per hour. You pick the instance that fits your workload and pay only while it runs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
You get a pre-configured Amazon Linux 2023 machine image hardened to CIS benchmarks. It comes with kubectl, Helm, and eksctl installed for managing Amazon EKS clusters. Each hourly charge covers this software running on the EC2 instance type you selected. Every instance type delivers the same tooling.
The software meters running time only. When you stop the EC2 instance, hourly software charges stop accruing. You are billed only while the instance runs. Note that stopped instances may still incur separate AWS storage fees for attached volumes, which are outside this software charge.
Only capacity. The hardened kubectl host software is identical across every instance type. A larger or more specialized instance gives more CPU, memory, storage, or GPU resources and costs more per hour. It does not unlock extra software features. Choose the instance that matches your workload size.
