Managed Service Case A client had performance issues in its tailor-made software package: the software regularly froze. Administrators could not see any signs of overloading, missing indexes or configuration errors. The developers had already tackled all the potentially suspect program code, but without success so far. By this point, the customer had for some time already been in a situation in which the experts involved were pointing the finger at one another, and it was not clear what was causing the problems. Sentia was asked to carry out troubleshooting, and used the diagnostic monitoring software of Dynatrace for this. By gathering and analysing all the behaviour on the application, the cause was identified within three days. The issue turned out to consist of three aspects: one could be resolved by a configuration adjustment, and two needed code modifications.
