Theme Builder™ Enterprise unlocks all 13 presets across 5 professionally designed theme families. Use Page Builder to update homepage content, Page Settings to manage page-level options, and Design Studio to adjust colours, typography, and spacing.
These tools are available from the Koha staff interface and are designed to keep visual changes separate from Koha core template files, making the system easier to maintain and upgrade over time.
A complete Koha ILS Koha includes cataloguing, circulation, holds, acquisitions, serials, interlibrary loans, Z39.50, SIP2, reports, a web-based staff interface, and a public catalogue. Koha Cloud Enterprise is designed for academic, public, and multi-branch libraries that need stronger continuity, recovery options, and operational flexibility.
High-availability AWS setup Koha Cloud Enterprise is a high-availability setup that runs Koha across multiple servers in separate data centres. It includes load balancing, automatic scaling, a high-performance database with point-in-time recovery, automated backups, encrypted storage, HTTPS, and controlled network access.
This setup is designed for libraries that need stronger continuity, better recovery options, and more capacity during busy periods. Performance and availability outcomes depend on the selected server sizing, region, and usage patterns.
Trial and services A 30-day free trial is available for software charges. AWS infrastructure charges still apply during the trial. Paid support, onboarding, data migration, training, advanced configuration, customisation, and managed services are available separately.

Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for each running instance, with no upfront commitment. The pricing dimensions are AWS Arm-based EC2 instance types. You pick the instance that fits your library's workload. Pricing scales with the size and class of the instance you choose. Smaller sizes (such as medium or large) cost less per hour than larger sizes (such as 24xlarge or metal variants). Compute, memory, storage, and network-optimized families are available, so you match the instance to your catalog size and traffic. AWS infrastructure charges are billed separately from this software charge.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
The hourly charge covers the Koha Cloud Enterprise software license for each running instance. AWS infrastructure is billed separately by AWS, including servers, storage, networking, and any added AWS services. Implementation, migration, training, and ongoing support are also scoped and charged separately from the software.
The software charge meters each running instance by the hour. Fully stopped or terminated instances stop accruing software charges. Retained AWS storage, snapshots, addresses, and backups can still incur AWS infrastructure charges even after you stop an instance. Unsubscribing alone does not terminate your running resources.
The software charge applies per running instance. When Auto Scaling adds servers during busy periods, each running instance accrues its own hourly charge. When it scales back during quiet periods, those instances stop. Scaling limits you set help control how many instances run and accrue charges.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Data protection The updated CloudFormation template keeps your shared files, database access secret, backup bucket, and backup encryption key when the stack is deleted or those resources are replaced. Aurora creates a database snapshot when the database cluster is deleted or replaced. Disabling S3 backups keeps the existing backup bucket and encryption key; your backup expiration settings continue to apply.
For an existing installation, update your CloudFormation stack with the updated template before deleting it to receive these protections. Installing the new AMI alone does not update your stack. Retained AWS resources continue to incur charges. Keep the encryption keys and access permissions needed to recover your data. A new deployment does not automatically reconnect to retained data; recovery requires a separate restore or reconnection step.
