This review includes many aspects, such as cyber and information security, DevOps (continuous deployment and continuous monitoring), cost optimization, data platform transformation, as well as backup and disaster recovery. Our cloud migration methodology consists of a three-phase journey which helps our customers achieve their migration goals, keep costs optimized and reduce risks while providing “first time right” delivery. The main pillars of the Well Architected Framework leveraged during the migration phases include Security, Reliability, Performance and Operational Excellence.

Our Migration Assessment, which also utilizes automation tools for this purpose, assesses customer on-premises resources to build a right-sized and optimized cost projection for running applications in the cloud. During this phase we conduct a migration readiness assessment to identify and evaluate existing strengths, opportunities for improvement, and business benefits of the proposed solution.

During the Mobilize phase, we define an approach that is aligned with AWS best practices including a detailed business case, a detailed portfolio discovery, an application & DB migration plan, and creating governance and an AWS Landing Zone, while addressing the crucial Well-Architected pillars of Security, Risk, Compliance and Operation.

The Migrate and Modernize phase uses the patterns, processes, tools, resources, and methodology defined and tested during the Mobilize phase to migrate applications at scale, Re-hosting, Re-platforming or Re-architecting as needed. During this phase, each application is designed, migrated, and validated.
