The Ovation COVID-19 Viral Testing Data contains millions of de-identified diagnostic test results in addition to 12 months of future test results collected from clinical laboratories across the US from 2020 to present. Academic, government and commercial researchers are using this data to investigate COVID-related conditions (e.g., MIS-C), manage clinical development programs (e.g., exclusion criteria for clinical trials), and to aid pandemic surveillance efforts. This dataset is unique because it includes normalized patient metadata, ICD10 diagnosis codes, qPCR test results, including assay-level CT values (a measure of the viral load of the SARS-CoV-2 virus), instrument/test kit details, and detailed dates with which to calculate test turnaround times. As COVID-19 testing scales up across the country, this data continues to represent 2-3% of all testing in the US each week.

The data is made available in two forms, depending on whether the data will be used independently, or linked with other de-identified clinical data. The linkable dataset contains tokens provided by Datavant  to enable de-identified patient matching between datasets.
