Overview
FinOps is a cloud financial management discipline that enables organizations to get maximum business value from cloud.
To support our customers in adopting multicloud FinOps best practices, we have defined the following areas in which the customer can decide to operate with different efforts:
Cost anomaly management with alerts and remediation
Through near real-time cost monitoring, we ensure that actual and forecasted costs are in line with company spending expectations. Where anomalies are detected, we carry out analysis and remediation independently or togheter with the customer's team.
Avoid wasting money
Through the analysis of customer's cloud environments we are able to identify and manage potential cost saving opportunities in the areas like: unused resources, rightisizing and environment scheduling.
Create and maintain cloud cost allocation tailored to the customer needs
Definition and implementation of the tagging strategy for cost allocation and for further business needs (security, management, monitoring of new initiatives). Implementation of automated dashboards for cost analysis, created according to customer needs.
Manage commitment-based discounts
In this area we focus on identifying, evaluating and implementing all the saving opportunities provided by the various CSPs which do not involve changes to the technical solution. These saving opportunities are related to the company strategy of investing in a certain technology or CSP for a certain period and can achieve savings up to 72%.
Improve cost management processes
We take care of analyzing current company processes involving cloud costs in order to: Optimize existing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Recommend and implement cost management processes where they are not currently implemented.
Identify benefits offered by cloud modernization
Cloud environments evolve quickly, from the point of view of new services offered and improvement of current ones. In this area we deal with analyzing the customer's workloads to identify which applications can be modified using new features and what the impacts could be in terms of costs & benefits for the company.
