The Mission Blueprint - AWS Shield Advanced sets up provisioning for AWS Shield Advanced in order to help your business protect your web applications against Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks and other web exploits that may affect your applications.

As part of the Mission Blueprint - AWS Shield Advanced, Mission experts will configure AWS Shield Advanced to protect your applications from DDOS attacks, including helping set up integrations with AWS Web Application Firewall (WAF) to defend against application level attacks and service interruptions.

AWS Shield Advanced comes with 24x7 access to the AWS Shield Response Team (SRT), providing additional protection against DDoS attacks.

Key Activities

• Meet with your team to understand the business needs and desired outcomes.
• Set up AWS Shield Advanced to protect applications from DDoS attacks across your AWS regions.
• Recommend best practices for configuration, automation, and protocols.
• Configure rate-based rules in AWS WAF, Firewall Manager policies, Route 53 health checks, threat analysis dashboards, alerts, and centralized logging to S3.
• Show how DDoS alerts are detected and how to leverage the SRT for attack mitigation.
• Document the set up so that your team can maintain it in the future.
