To protect your virtual machines in the AWS environment, the following vIPS solution components are deployed:

Trellix Intrusion Prevention System Manager: It is the web based user interface that is used to manage the Virtual IPS Sensor and vIPS Controller. You can create and manage policies against attacks detected by the Sensors.

Virtual IPS Sensor: This is the Network Security Sensor that protects the network against harmful attacks. It inspects the traffic and generates alerts in the Intrusion Prevention System Manager in case of attacks.

vIPS Controller: It is the centralized manager that controls all Virtual Probes installed on the instances in the cloud environment. You can either configure the Local Controller or deploy an instance for External Controller. Local Controller instance is automatically deployed with the Manager.
