Overview
Since cloud environments are accessed through the internet, they are exposed to security threats for web applications. Web application firewalls protect web applications from these security threats, such as data breaches, injections, and DDoS attacks. In other words, by protecting web applications through web application firewalls, safety is enhanced, allowing for the provision of stable services.
PIOLINK's web application firewall, WEBFRONT-KS, has a wide range of customer references, including cases that require high traffic processing and stability, such as telecommunications, finance, and portal sites, as well as small business models.
WEBFRONT-KS not only offers excellent performance as a web firewall but also supports L7LB features that are not supported by general web firewall solutions.
Highlights
- WEBFRONT-KS includes load balancing to simplify and economical operation without having to purchase or add an additional load balancing solution in configurations which work with multiple virtual servers.
- WEBFRONT-KS supports a Zero Touch installation which can be run immediately after installation. Users can very quickly install the WAF and then experience the security of the web application.
- PIOLINK operates its own Security Operations Center (SOC), and it can provide the optimal security environment for customers. You can manage your services more securely through our Security Operations Service. PIOLINK's Security Operations Service will be conducted after inquiry and consultation. Please contact us now.

64-bit (x86) Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions
When you create an instance of WF-KS you have to follow these instructions:
- Create a key pair (if none exists) for SSH.
- Create a VPC (if none exists).
- Ensure that eth0 (used for management access) can access the internet.
This is necessary for you to access the instance via Web or SSH. This can be achieved by one of the following:
- Putting eth0 in a subnet with an Internet Gateway.
- Associating a public IP to eth0.
- In single NIC deployments, when configuring the instance details, in the Auto-assign Public IP list, select Enable.
- In multi-NIC deployments, associate an Elastic IP to the first NIC(aka eth0) within a few minutes of deployment, or associate it later and restart the instance. After you complete these tasks, you can connect to SSH with your key pair. Also, the access information on Web UI is as follows:
- URL: https://[Public IP address]:8443
- ID : wafwaf
- Password : waf12!@ + instance id first 4 digits
