Barracuda CloudGen Access provides remote conditional and contextual access to resources and reduces overprivileged access and associated third-party risks. With CloudGen Access employees and partners can access corporate apps and cloud workloads without creating additional attack surfaces. Our Zero Trust model is based on rules and conditions that essentially require the accessing entity to prove that they are allowed i.e. trusted to access that particular workload. While most zero trust models seem complicated ours provides instant provisioning and seamless access so your remote workers are not aware that zero trust is being applied. We also provide zero trust across all AWS workloads as well as on-premises and even other clouds. Our free 30-day trial allows you to experience Barracuda CloudGen Access securing remote access in real-time before purchasing.
AWS customers, or even organizations who are considering AWS, can take advantage of AWS Private Offers https://www.barracuda.com/solutions/aws/private-offer to receive a specialized price quotation from Barracuda, allowing you to negotiate terms, conditions, even discounts, either directly or through your trusted partner.

Customer reviews
Unified cloud security has consolidated branch access and has improved remote user protection
What is our primary use case?
My main use case for Barracuda SecureEdge is a particular consolidation approach where different branch locations have unique entry and exit points, ensuring traffic comes to a particular cloud for exit, which enhances the security footprint of the organization.
What is most valuable?
The best features that Barracuda SecureEdge offers, in my experience, start with a Secure Web Gateway for internet traffic protection, Zero Trust Network Access , SD-WAN integration, Firewall as a Service, centralized policy and management, remote user security, work-from-home capabilities, branch connectivities plus cloud security, and application-level access control.
Barracuda SecureEdge has positively impacted my organization as it is a cloud-native SASE platform that securely connects users and branches to applications with built-in SD-WAN, combining network and security into a single cloud platform for modern distributed environments.
What needs improvement?
Compared to leading SASE vendors, Barracuda SecureEdge is still evolving and lacks some advanced features and integration depth that may require evaluating for large and global enterprises.
Limited advanced threat intelligence is another area, as core protection is strong, but analytics could improve. The UI and reporting are functional but could be more intuitive and business-friendly.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Barracuda SecureEdge for the last four years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
In my experience, Barracuda SecureEdge is secure and stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Barracuda SecureEdge has good scalability because it is a cloud-based solution, so there are no worries about the scalability aspect. They will take care of it.
How are customer service and support?
The customer support I receive is good.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have previously used different solutions such as Zscaler, Netskope , and Prisma before using Barracuda SecureEdge.
What was our ROI?
I have seen a return on investment. Tool consolidation provides an immediate return on investment from a tool perspective, and with reduced administrative overhead, less human resources are needed for management.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing is acceptable. I do not see any complications compared to other solutions, and it seems suitable mainly for mid-level organizations, as small organizations may not have much of a branch footprint.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Before choosing Barracuda SecureEdge, I evaluated options including Zscaler and Netskope .
What other advice do I have?
Every feature I have mentioned is critical, so if you need to secure your organization, you cannot bypass one after another.
I have seen specific outcomes since using Barracuda SecureEdge, such as tool consolidation that combines multiple tools like VPN, firewall, secure web gateway, and SD-WAN into one solution, resulting in around a twenty to thirty percent reduction in security tool costs, improved operational efficiency, and increased efficiency around twenty-five to forty percent. Additionally, it has bettered the security posture by reducing the attack surface and lateral movement, which has impacted access-related risks by thirty to fifty percent.
My advice for others looking into using Barracuda SecureEdge is to consider your organization footprint. If it is a mid-size organization, proceed with using Barracuda SecureEdge. However, if you have a large enterprise, you need to evaluate the solution carefully to understand the best fit for your needs.
I have given this review a rating of eight out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?
Loved it
Cloudgen, ideal for your remote workforce
An added feature is the security it implies on the environment. Users can only access those applications and only those ports that we define.
