This data package contains information regarding different hospitals and their quality of surgical outcomes and structural measures. It includes datasets over facility, national and state-level data for Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital Facility Quality Reporting (IPFQR) and payment measures. It also provides Timely and Effective Care information by national and state-level data for measures of heart attack care, heart failure care, pneumonia care, surgical care and emergency department care.
This data package contains the Hospital Outcome of Care Surgical Measures contains a list of different hospitals and their quality of surgical outcomes to provide information to healthcare consumers. The American College of Surgeons (ACS) National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP) is the leading nationally validated, risk-adjusted, outcomes-based program to measure and improve the quality of surgical care in the private sector. Hospital Structure Measures evaluate the infrastructure of health care settings, such as hospitals or doctor offices, and whether those health care settings are able to deliver care. These measures include staffing of facilities and the capabilities of these staff, the policy environment in which care is delivered, and the availability of resources within an institution. Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital Facility Quality Measures by Facility, State and National contains six measures. Psychiatric facilities that are eligible for this program may have their Medicare payments reduced if they do not report.
The Inpatient Psychiatric Facility Quality Reporting (IPFQR) program is a pay-for-reporting program intended to equip consumers with quality of care information to make more informed decisions about healthcare options. It is also intended to encourage hospitals and clinicians to improve the quality of inpatient care provided to beneficiaries by, first, ensuring that providers are aware of and reporting on best practices for their respective facilities and type of care. Payment and Value of Care by Hospital displays associated with a 30-day episode of care for heart attack, heart failure, and pneumonia patients. Payment by State and National level measures contain payments made for care and supplies starting the day the patient enters the hospital and for the next 30 days.
The measures are meant to reflect differences in the services and supplies provided to patients. Timely and Effective Care by Hospital, State and National level data for measures of heart attack care, heart failure care, pneumonia care, surgical care, emergency department care, preventive care, children’s asthma care, stroke care, blood clot prevention and treatment, and pregnancy and delivery care. The payments made for patients treated at a particular hospital is less than, no different than, or greater than the national average payment. For some hospitals, the number of cases is too small to reliably compare their results to the national average payment.

Included Datasets
Hospital Outcome of Care Surgical Measures
This dataset includes a list of different hospitals and their quality of surgical outcomes to provide information to healthcare consumers. The study comprises of Hospital Name and the data on the outcome measures for three different forms of surgeries. These "Outcome of Care Surgical Measures" show whether hospitals differ in what happens to patients after they have one of three types of surgeries - elderly surgery, colon surgery and lower-extremity bypass.
Hospital Structural Measures
This dataset includes a list of hospitals and the availability of structural measures at that hospital. A structural measure reflects the environment in which hospitals care for patients. For example, whether or not a hospital participates in a Cardiac Surgery Registry.

Data Engineering Overview
We deliver high-quality data
Each dataset goes through 3 levels of quality review
2 Manual reviews are done by domain experts
Then, an automated set of 60+ validations enforces every datum matches metadata & defined constraints
Data is normalized into one unified type system
All dates, unites, codes, currencies look the same
All null values are normalized to the same value
All dataset and field names are SQL and Hive compliant
Data and Metadata
Data is available in both CSV and Apache Parquet format, optimized for high read performance on distributed Hadoop, Spark & MPP clusters
Metadata is provided in the open Frictionless Data standard, and its every field is normalized & validated
Data Updates
Data updates support replace-on-update: outdated foreign keys are deprecated, not deleted
Our data is curated and enriched by domain experts
Each dataset is manually curated by our team of doctors, pharmacists, public health & medical billing experts:
Field names, descriptions, and normalized values are chosen by people who actually understand their meaning
Healthcare & life science experts add categories, search keywords, descriptions and more to each dataset
Both manual and automated data enrichment supported for clinical codes, providers, drugs, and geo-locations
The data is always kept up to date – even when the source requires manual effort to get updates
Support for data subscribers is provided directly by the domain experts who curated the data sets
Every data source’s license is manually verified to allow for royalty-free commercial use and redistribution.

This listing uses a single pricing dimension called Product Access (Units). It is offered at no cost, so you subscribe without any charge. There are no tiers, instance sizes, or usage add-ons to compare. Subscribing to the Product Access dimension grants you access to the dataset. Because there is only one option, your pricing does not scale or change based on usage or quantity.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one unit under the Product Access dimension?
One unit grants your subscription access to the dataset. It is not tied to servers, seats, or usage volume. You subscribe once to unlock access, and the single unit covers your entire use of the listing at no cost.
Does my cost change as I use the data more or add more users?
No. This listing has one dimension offered at no cost. Your charges do not rise with usage, data volume, or the number of people accessing it. There are no tiers or thresholds that trigger added fees.
Are there separate charges for the data curation or clinical AI tools mentioned by the vendor?
This listing covers only Product Access to the dataset at no cost. Other capabilities the vendor describes, such as clinical data curation or language models, are not part of this listing's pricing. Contact the vendor for details on those separate offerings.
