Overview
- Support existing operations by building out MySQL servers and clusters with continent for testing.
- Support existing operations by peer reviewing SQL scripts coming out of dev and testing them for performance issues in QA.
- Building out tools and process to speed up migration from EC2 MySQL instances to Aurora.
- Building out scripts and tools to manage Aurora MySQL for common problems we see today:
- Identifying slow queries
- Identifying blocking queries
- Killing all queries over x time (Yup)
- Implement monitoring in Opsview, integrate Aurora MySQL to our PMM tool when possible. Environment is a Amazon Linux 2 environment with MySQL 5.7 (Mostly) and using Ansible/Terraform for IaaC
