The VMware Cloud on AWS: Quick Start offering provides the initial design and deployment of a VMC Software-Defined Datacenter with a single cluster to enable: Hybrid VMware infrastructure, a Pilot or Proof-of-Concept (POC), and Initial Datacenter Extension or Migration Footprint.

Deliverables include:

• Four (4) hour discovery and design workshop
• VMC on AWS Design Document based on discovery and design
• SDDC and Cluster deployment
• Integration of on-premises VMware environment
• Enablement of Hybrid Cloud mobility through VMware HCX
• Network segmentation demonstration and starter configuration
• Demonstrate native AWS Cloud service integration
• Provide As-Built documentation
• Provide knowledge transfer and Q&A for up to three (3) customer personnel during a single four (4) hour session to include:
  • Software Defined Networking and Microsegmentation
  • Virtual Machine Migration
  • VMC Day 2 Operations

The customer is expected to have met the following prerequisites before the start of this offering:

• Provision AWS VPC and networking to support VMC deployment
• Set up VMware Cloud organization and fund initial cluster size
• Provision accounts and access to the customer environment for the WWT delivery team
