Overview

Our experts will thoroughly review your workloads using the AWS Well-Architected Tool and identify gaps that lead to unoptimized or risky behavior. The AWS infrastructure analysis is done through the 6 pillars of security, reliability, performance efficiency, cost optimization, operational excellence, and sustainability. We will create a detailed outline of the current setup highlighting the parts that can be improved to align with all the AWS best practices. A complete overview of the WAFR will have a focus on the advantages and potential business outcomes.

After the initial requirements gathering, the WAFR process will then follow these steps:

  • We will provide a detailed overview of the current and future states, gaps, and improvement areas along with recommendations for infrastructure and security best practices.
  • Then the results will be explained in detail, with an emphasis on the High-Risk Issues (HRIs) identified and an action plan to address them.
  • Then, we will perform 80-hour Remediation for specific needs, based on the agreement.
  • After the remediation, we will conduct the review again and create a report to show improvements.

Product Brief

Our WAFR and 80-hour remediation includes the following 3 key phases:

1. Well-Architected review You will gain valuable insights into your workloads as our team evaluates them using the AWS framework. We also use AWS Trusted Advisor to perform automated checks that help identify potential gaps, risks, and inefficiencies in your AWS environments.

2. Remediation planning Based on the review findings, you will receive a prioritized remediation plan focused on high and medium-risk issues. All remediations can be classified into three categories based on configurations that are either risky, or absent or present but not optimized. Our experts will collaborate with you to help you understand each proposed solution's business impact and feasibility, leveraging their expertise in AWS service delivery programs like Amazon EC2, Amazon RDS, and Amazon DynamoDB.

3. 80-hour remediation Our AWS experts dedicate 80 hours of hands-on remediation to implement the identified solutions. To drive meaningful improvements across your environment, where ever applicable we will try to:

  • Implement security best practices using AWS WAF, AWS Config, and AWS Control Tower
  • Optimize performance and costs through AWS Lambda, Amazon API Gateway, and AWS Graviton
  • Streamline operations with Amazon EC2 Systems Manager, Amazon OpenSearch Service, and AWS Systems Manager Automation
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using AWS CloudFormation and AWS CDK

The above agenda is for reference only. Many remediations require business decisions and may require more effort than the designated 80 hours.

Deliverables

  1. A detailed report that answers the questions divided into all the 6 AWS Pillars, with improvement plan
