This release contains information on the unemployment rate in the United States which includes 1 of the 50 states or the District of Columbia and does not include those in the military or institutions.

The included data is provided by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis' FRED (Federal Reserve Economic Data) platform, which contains information on over 700,000+ series related to historical economic data. Data Source

This resource is presented in both the XLS and CSV formats. The included dataset contains the following columns:

date, unrate

The unrate column represents the unemployment rate in the U.S. as a percentage at the time of the corresponding date.
