Oracle Linux Server is fully compatible with Redhat release, but due to OUK higher kernel and dependencies, you'll prefer the native pre-configured rpm repositories. This AMI runs as a Hardware Virtualized Machine (HVM), 64bit, with ec2-user SELinux context. This image uses Oracle Linux Server minimal install, which can operate well on nano instance types; yet provides the most flexibility in terms of scaling to the largest instance types and packages to fit your needs. Unlike other pricing models, TLC charges one super-low hourly or yearly rate on any size instance. Optional Oracle Enterprise OEL support, not included, is among the best in the business.
