U-Self Serve is a multi-modal virtual assistant that handles common queries and transactional interactions without the support of live agents. Self-service rates improve by over 35 percent as customers receive the answers that they need sooner and with minimal friction. If a customer does require additional support from a live agent, the virtual assistant hands off the interaction to the proper agent with the full context.
U-Self Serve provides partial or end-to-end self-service. The intelligent virtual assistant can verify callers, answer questions, understand customers intents and automate issue resolution via voice and chat channels. These capabilities are made possible by using NLP and a knowledge bot which can access predetermined knowledge bases.
U-Self Serve allows live agents to focus on high-value work. If, at any point, the call needs to be transferred to a live agent, this is done seamlessly with context. The low code-no code flow designer allows business owners to build, maintain or change experience flows without involving engineers. These flows can be shared across other Uniphore products, saving implementation time in a rapidly changing world.

You buy this product through prepaid session buckets under a contract. Two dimensions match different agent types. U-Self Serve Bolt bills per text-based chatbot session in buckets. U-Self Serve Max bills per multi-modal chatbot session in buckets, covering voice, chat, and text channels. Each dimension is a separate purchase, so you pick the type that fits your interactions. Pricing scales with the number of session buckets you commit to. You can buy one or both, depending on whether your needs are text-only or span multiple channels.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one chatbot session for billing under each dimension?
A session is one customer interaction with the virtual agent. U-Self Serve Bolt counts text-only sessions. U-Self Serve Max counts multi-modal sessions that span voice, chat, and text. Each session drawn against your purchased bucket counts once, regardless of message length within that interaction.
How do the Bolt and Max dimensions differ mechanically for my bill?
Both bill per session in prepaid buckets, but they meter different agent types. Bolt meters text-based chatbot sessions only. Max meters multi-modal sessions across voice, chat, and text channels. You can buy one or both. Your cost depends on which interaction types you route to each agent.
What happens if I use up my committed session buckets?
Pricing scales with the number of session buckets you commit to under the contract. The marketplace listing does not specify overage handling once a bucket is exhausted. To confirm how additional sessions are treated beyond your purchased buckets, contact the vendor.

I like Self-Service Agent because it automates routine support requests and helps users get answers quickly without always needing human assistance. It improves response times, cuts down on repetitive work for support teams, and makes the overall self-service experience more convenient and straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest area for improvement is how complex or unusual requests are handled. At times, the responses feel a bit too generic. Stronger context awareness, more tailored customization, and a smoother handoff to a human agent when needed would make the overall experience much more effective.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Self-Service Agent helps address the challenge of managing repetitive support requests by delivering quick answers to common questions. It lightens the load on support teams, improves response times, and gives users access to help whenever they need it. Overall, it makes support operations more efficient while freeing human agents to focus on more complex issues.

24/7 Self-Service That Delivers Instant Answers and Cuts Support Costs
Reviewed on Jul 29, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
With 24/7 availability, lower operational costs, and reduced agent workloads, these digital tools give users instant, on-demand answers to straightforward issues, without the need to wait for a live person to respond.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main drawbacks of a self-service agent are the lack of a human touch, its limited ability to handle more complex issues, and navigation that can sometimes feel frustrating for users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A self-service agent can help tackle high support operating costs, long customer wait times, and human agent burnout. It does this by taking care of repetitive inquiries, offering 24/7 access, and deflecting routine tickets away from the main support queue so the team can focus on more complex issues.
