Overview

Luminate Film Festival Data Product Overview

The Luminate Film Festival Dataset includes films in competition at the following festivals: Sundance Film Festival (2010-present), Cannes International Film Festival (2010-present), Berlin International Film Festival (2010-present), South By Southwest Film Festival (2010-present), Telluride Film Festival (2010-present), Toronto International Film Festival (2011-present), Venice Film Festival (2011-present). In addition to the film title this file also includes screening information for each film as well as competition outcome, i.e. winner, nominee, etc.


Use Cases

This dataset allows users to cross reference with the current and historical films dataset to determine which festival films received US theatrical/streaming distribution. Additionally, this can be used to construct a history of films that have been in competition at the major world film festivals. Furthermore, the dataset can be used to create schedules for evaluating films prior to attending the festivals.
