Building & maintaining a solution that deliver these needs is complex & time-consuming, even when using great data tooling & products as building blocks. Many data solutions start out as POCs, and when they’re put into production, the key considerations of security, governance, and quality can be neglected. A truly useful data platform also needs to combine multiple data sources, some of which will not be under your direct control. As soon as changes are made, or configurations updated, any data solution relying on them will break. This roadmap outlines the next steps beyond the live pilot dashboard for your executive team & key stakeholders and include how additional data sources can be incorporated to deliver more insights, and how new visualisations can be built to extend the dashboard to cover more aspects of your business, delivering more value.

From the initial consultation, you can expect insight as a service within 4 weeks. TechConnect has designed the process to be as straightforward as possible so your normal operations aren’t disrupted. Your input will be required at the start of the process for the discovery phase, and again at delivery with the pilot showcase. But throughout the process you’ll remain fully informed.

Process

• The TechConnect team will schedule a 2 hour discovery workshop w/ your stakeholders to understand your requirements, and establish the scope & priorities for the pilot. The team will review your business drivers & existing data sources, and work with you to identify the insights that will deliver immediate impact.

• Within a week of the workshop, TechConnect will provide confirmation of the pilot dashboard scope, and an Executive Summary of Value outlining the expected benefits & impact of the pilot.

• TechConnect will deploy the Lakehouse Accelerator live pilot dashboard, and the supporting managed AWS environment 2 weeks after the confirmation of scope. This include the data ingestion pipelines, transformations, and aggregations necessary to support the pilot visual. It will also include built-in, production-ready security & governance guardrails for the AWS environment.

• TechConnect will run a showcase session with your stakeholders to review the pilot, and present the Lakehouse Accelerator-powered Strategy Roadmap, outlining the recommended next steps beyond the pilot. The team will then follow up with training & documentation.

• Your Lakehouse Accelerator environment is on-boarded to support automatically, which will keep it aligned to AWS best practices for security & resilience, and also ensure that your pilot dashboard continue to deliver insights as a service from day 1.
