What do you like best about the product?
Using Scytale has streamlined the time we spend preparing and documenting controls for our SOC I and SOC II audits. The support from our GRC Manager, Marené Buitendag, was responsive, helpful, and easy to work with throughout the process.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only challenge I ran into was related to differences between our previous auditor’s processes and Scytale’s processes. That’s normal and to be expected when switching providers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scytale helps solve issues around consistency and process by continuously addressing controls on an ongoing basis and reducing the heavy lift of preparing for audits each year. This is especially important for organizations like ours with smaller headcounts to support these functions.

Nothing major. There's a small learning curve at the start, but the team's guidance made it easy to get past.

What do you like best about the product?
The platform’s automation and evidence collection are a real positive for anyone looking for this kind of service. The combination of automation with evidence collection, cloud integrations, GitHub, risk management, and continuous control monitoring makes for a strong overall platform. The GRC manager felt like an extension of our team, rather than just standard software support.
What do you dislike about the product?
No platform is perfect. At times, I found issues with navigating the controls, along with evidence synchronization. It’s also always difficult to replace knowledgeable compliance staff and/or maintain strong process ownership.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scytale supports SOC1 & SOC2 ISO 27001 frameworks. It has made the process much more seamless for our small security and compliance team. Significant guidance throughout the audit process.

What do you like best about the product?
It’s been great having a single place to manage our controls and provide evidence for audits. The integrations and automated evidence collection are especially helpful. I have never had a problem with the speed and reliability of the platform. The UI/UX is fairly user friendly, and the layout is visually appealing as well as functional. However, it is difficult to tell at times what will link back to useful information such as criteria or controls. It would be very helpful if the control and criteria labels would link back to that information when an audit is opened to provide evidence. Marene Buitendag was an absolute pleasure to work with—she’s knowledgeable and did an excellent job coordinating and mediating with the auditors.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be helpful to be able to create a well-organized document that includes our controls. It would also be useful to add links to additional information when we provide evidence for audits.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This provides a unified platform for employees to use, so they can upload evidence themselves instead of relying on just a few people. I no longer have to spend most of my time during an audit chasing down evidence or acting as the go-between for our team and the auditors.

What do you like best about the product?
You have everything for multiple certifications available in one place
What do you dislike about the product?
It’s missing integrations, and I often have to repeat the same thing multiple times before anything actually happens on the system’s end. Also when reporting bugs, they are long ignored and not operated upon giving me the feeling there is no urgency to address user issues.
