It’s an approach that improves the management of technology assets by reducing contractual risk, improving operational efficiencies, and identifying cost savings opportunities through various sources (AWS Pricing Calculator, AWS Budgets, AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Cost & Usage Reports, as well as, Procurement systems, etc.). We focus on the full lifecycle of an asset with integration into your current procurement, financial and configuration management systems. By balancing your overall service management maturity and focusing on the data associated with assets in relation to 1) contracts 2) purchases and 3) discovery, we go beyond the standard single pronged approach. This approach allows you to determine how and what level of detail should be collected to help manage cost and risk in the lifecycle of your assets.

Our Approach This multi-prong approach focuses on the integration of various data sources to describe and relate assets through adjacent processes e.g. supplier management, contract management, and spend optimization. This approach also develops the associated processes to support the ongoing reconciliation between sources of record. The last thing we want is to do a deep dive and reconcile, only to have the data become stale a moment later when something changes.
