Overview Oracle WebLogic Server is the industry-leading Java application server for building, deploying and managing enterprise Java workloads. WebLogic delivers a Jakarta EE runtime with the Administration Console for server management, WLST for scripted configuration and a production-grade domain model that has been the foundation of enterprise Java deployments for decades. This image delivers WebLogic Server fully installed and configured, so an enterprise Java runtime is running within minutes of launch. The WebLogic family spans 12c, 14c and 15c -- this listing covers the current 15c release.
Application Stack Oracle WebLogic Server 15c installed via the official generic installer to a dedicated Oracle middleware home. JDK 21 LTS powers the runtime. The Admin Server listens on port 7001 (HTTP) and 7002 (HTTPS). The Node Manager runs on port 5556. All processes run as a dedicated unprivileged oracle system user.
Secure First Boot On the first boot of your instance a one-shot service starts the Admin Server with a build-time placeholder password, connects via WLST and rotates the admin credential to a fresh per-instance random password, then writes the password to a root-only file. No shared or default credentials ship in the image.
Ready To Use The WebLogic domain, the Admin Console and the service are all configured and start on boot. Browse to the instance address on port 7001 to reach the Admin Console, or use WLST for scripted administration. Deploy EAR and WAR applications from the Console or via the wldeploy utility.

Usage instructions
Connect via SSH on port 22 as the default login user (ec2-user). The WebLogic Admin Console is on port 7001. Because port 7001 should be restricted to trusted networks, open an SSH tunnel first: ssh -L 17001:127.0.0.1:7001 ec2-user@<instance-public-ip>, then browse to http://127.0.0.1:17001/console and sign in as the 'weblogic' user. Retrieve the generated admin password with: sudo cat /root/weblogic-credentials.txt. To check service status: sudo systemctl status weblogic-adminserver.service.
