The Red River AWS Cost Optimization Assessment evaluates the visibility into resource usage to ensure that costs are monitored and alerted.

• Review AWS workloads for implementation of cost control
• Review information sources for the correct level of granularity
• Review bill and cost management tools to ensure capturing necessary information
• Review resource use over their lifetime
• Review auto-decommission of resources

We will analyze services, resources and data transfer mechanisms to provide recommendations on more cost effective options.

• Review all compute, storage, database, network, security, and identity resources
• Review software licenses
• Review data transfer charges

Based on your current workload information gathered through the assessment, we will make recommendations as to new services that would be more cost effective (e.g. new EC2 instance type, RDS databases, etc.)
