    Overview

With Navisite’s Cloud Assessment Service, customers can answer the following questions:

    • What is the total cost of ownership for my future state disaster recovery (DR) solution and non-production and production workloads in the cloud?
    • What is the recommended cloud “landing zone” architecture?
    • What is the DR solution for my future state cloud?
    • How would my IT estate be broken down into move groups for an efficient migration and consolidation?
    • What would be the network considerations specific to the customer infrastructure?
    • What would be the cost to conduct a cloud migration? How long will it take?
    • What opportunities are there for optimizing my IT estate as part of a migration to the cloud?

Navisite’s Cloud Assessment Service is a collaborative experience which will involve:

    • Workshops to achieve a formally agreed-upon outcome to the project
    • Discovery of the current infrastructure, platforms and related services
    • Analysis of challenges, trends and future state business goals

At the end of the assessment the customer will be provided with an:

    • Inventory of the current state of the customer IT infrastructure as discovered
    • Cloud-fit report showing the initial cloud readiness for each VM or workload of the current state
    • Cloud-match report providing details on the recommended machine type or SKU in AWS or Azure for each VM or workload An assessment document including the following information:
    • Executive summary
    • Current state analysis, utilization statistics and identified risks
    • Future state target architecture, which is a technical cloud design and architecture as well as recommendations on the operations model
    • Network bandwidth review in terms of ingress and egress cost considerations
    • Financial analysis that includes a summary and detailed view of the full cost of the cloud migration project and operating costs and return on investment – this can include a comparison to the “as is” costs if they are available, otherwise it will use industry benchmarks
    • Roadmap, including a phased/prioritized roadmap that will provide an actionable implementation and migration timeline with next steps and priorities
