Based on the official Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, this image comes with minimal installation packages along with required AWS software to make it integrate seamlessly into the AWS infrastructure: AWS CLI, Elastic Network Adapter & NVMe drivers. Among other features are: key based authentication with 'ubuntu' username, cloud-init, root login disabled, automatic root disk resize based on the instance volume configuration.
