Cloud Architecture Reviews The Service and Architecture Review is based on the Well-Architected Review of AWS and is supplemented by central aspects of the service organization. Thus, the following aspects are intensively reviewed in the review - together with the client:

• Security Review; Have the best practices of a secure cloud architecture been considered? Are recommended configurations and security services activated? Has a secure cloud architecture been selected so that reliable operation is ensured?
• Cost & Capacity Review: Have the basic principles of pay-per-use been considered in the architecture? Do costs scale according to actual usage? Have unnecessary cost factors been avoided or can be optimized? Have common cost optimizations been applied?
• Operational Review: Has the principle of IntelligentCloudOps (by BTC) been applied? Is the operation automated as far as possible? Are faults proactively detected and automatically resolved? Is continuous availability ensured?
• Service Review: Are the IT processes clearly described and specified? Has the incident and emergency process been reviewed, tested and approved? Are reporting channels and request management processes known? Is compliance with service levels continuously monitored?
• Sustainability Review: How sustainable is the architecture in use? How efficiently are resources used? What are the expected environmental impacts?

The result of the service & architecture review is a Review Report, which prioritizes, categorizes and clearly presents any existing findings. If there are no critical findings, acceptance takes place via transfer to operation (CutOver).

The Well Architected Review covers nearly every AWS-Service whether IaaS or PaaS - like AWS EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, VPC, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, Aurora, Athena, API-Gateway, EBS, EFS, FsX and so on.
