Usage instructions
For a complete set of instructions and tips, visit the Silver Lining Cloud Documentation at https://www.silverlining.cloud/docs/aws/selenium-ubuntu-gui .
To access your system, the username is 'ubuntu', and the password is your EC2 Instance ID, such as 'i-0a85cdce733efbb08'.
For remote access, you have two options: If you prefer using Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), start the Remote Desktop Connection on your local device and connect using the public IP address of your instance, with 'ubuntu' as the username and your EC2 Instance ID as the password. Alternatively, for a Virtual Network Computing (VNC) connection, launch a VNC client on your local device, connect to your instance's public IP address on port 5901, and use your instance ID as the password.
Regarding script execution and editing:
For Python, you can find sample scripts at 'Home -> Desktop -> Playwright -> python'. Execute these scripts in the terminal using commands like 'python3 sample-chrome.py' or 'python3 sample-firefox.py'. For editing, use the pre-installed Sublime Text editor, and then rerun the scripts in the terminal.
In Java, you can open the Eclipse IDE, which you'll find a shortcut for on the desktop. Run your scripts by clicking the green 'Compile & Run' icon.
For NodeJS, locate the sample scripts at 'Home -> Desktop -> Puppeteer -> nodejs'. Run these scripts in the terminal with commands such as 'node chrome-sample.js' or 'node firefox-sample.js'. Edit these scripts using Sublime Text, and then execute them again in the terminal to apply changes.
