Overview
EOSDA Crop Monitoring is an online satellite-based precision agriculture platform for field monitoring created by EOS Data Analytics (EOSDA), a global provider of AI-powered satellite imagery analytics. The platform is a one-stop solution that integrates multiple types of data (crop health, weather conditions, crop rotation, field activities, elevation, soil moisture, and a host of other types) all in one place.
Crop classification is classifying the land surface according to the type of crop growing in there. It is provided as geospatial information in raster or vector format.
By combining Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data with optical imagery, we can assign a class to each type of crop recognized by a trained neural network in any area of interest and build a crop type map suitable to the customer`s needs.
Data required from client:
- Area of interest in *.shp / *.kml/ *.geojson (country, state, district, etc.);
- List of crop types;
- Agriculture calendar for each crop (planting date and harvesting);
- Period of classification (season, months);
- Ground-truth data (minimal 2-3% from AOI for each crop type).
EOSDA team of data scientists and engineers has developed effective techniques for Crop Yield Estimation using remote sensing and machine learning models. We`re relying on earth observation data retrieved from satellites to cover areas ranging from individual farms to regions.
Improve your crop production management strategies by estimating how much yield you can get from any crop for an upcoming season based on historical data trends.
Data required from client:
- Sample AOI file in *.shp / *.kmz / *.kml / *.geojson format;
- List of crops and the varieties;
- Agriculture calendar for each crop type;
- Results / report frequency (one-time calculation / once every 10 days / once a month / other);
- 3-5 years of yield statistic for higher accuracy (85%-90%+);
- Soil data (clay) or (clay, density, sand) will be a plus;
- Weather statistics for previous 3-5 years (if you have weather data from local weather stations).
