After working with you to determine the patient population of interest, Prognos can quickly - within seconds - determine how many de-identified patients we have available that fit the profile & how many records are available for them from all sources. We will deliver those records to you in harmonized and standardized fields that are fully compliant with HIPAA regulations.
Overview
Prognos Health has a large collection of real world data available to support different analyses such as Patient Journey analytics, Outcomes studies, provider evaluation, and patient segmentation.
We can use the following metrics, alone or in conjunction, to find de-identified patients that fit the profile of interest who are available for study:
- Diagnosis
- Treatments
- Procedures
- Lab tests & results
- Demographics - such as location, gender, or age
- Physician specialty
After the profile of patients is defined, Prognos is able to look for records with those details across different sources and provide a summarized view of the available cohort sample and all available records for those patients.
Delivery includes harmonized and standardized records and metrics so that users don’t need to worry about variations in different sources’ content or naming conventions. Prognos also manages privacy concerns and regulations. All record-level delivery follows HIPAA standards and has been reviewed by experts.
Data sources available include large providers of open and closed medical and prescription claims, specialty pharmacies, and national, regional, and specialty laboratories.
