An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Modshield SB Web Application Firewall now makes it easier to manage multiple SSL certificates implemented across web and mobile applications that are configured in Modshield SB.The latest version has enhanced threat detection rules. Automated updates to real time threat intelligence and Geo IP lists have been included.This version implements a more elaborate events log and a easier way to analyse raw logs.You can blacklist bad IPs directly from the event log.This version of Modshield SB also has an inbuilt antivirus scanner to prevent malicious file uploads.

Usage instructions
- Add Modshield SB WAF AMI instance to your account
- Configure security policy to allow ports 80, 443 and 5000
- Access "AMI_IP":5000/modshieldsb_login from your browser The user name is administrator and the default password is the AMI instance ID. You will be required to change your password on login.
- Access Domain configuration Menu item to configure the domain you want Modshield SB to protect. You will be required to add the SSL certificates in the "SSL Certificate" before you add a HTTPS domain.
- Ensure that the DNS entry for your domain points to the Modshield SB Instance IP ( For testing purposes you can add the domain to your host file and point it to the Modshield SB AMI instance IP address)
