Overview

The VMware Cloud on AWS Deployment - Quick Start offering provides the initial design and deployment of a VMC Software-Defined Datacenter with a single cluster to enable: Hybrid VMware infrastructure, a Pilot or Proof-of-Concept (POC), and Initial Datacenter Extension or Migration Footprint.

Deliverables

• Eight (8) hour discovery and design workshop
• VMC on AWS Design Document based on discovery and design
• Support to Provision AWS VPC and networking to support VMC deployment
• Set up VMware Cloud organization
• SDDC and Cluster deployment
• Integration of on-premises VMware environment
• Enablement of Hybrid Cloud mobility through VMware HCX
• Network segmentation demonstration and starter configuration
• Demonstrate native AWS Cloud service integration
• Provide As-Built documentation
• Provide knowledge transfer and Q&A for up to four (4) customer personnel during a two days eight (8) hour session to include:
  • Software Defined Networking and Microsegmentation
  • Virtual Machine Migration
  • VMC Day 2 Operations

The customer is expected to have met the following prerequisites before the start of this offering: AWS Account

• VMware account with fund for initial cluster size
