Zivaro hosted HIPAA compliant platform for Self Collected Home Testing

Our HIPAA compliant systems are being utilized in 11 public health departments throughout California including Los Angeles, Alameda, San Francisco, and San Diego counties, along with other states and Federally Qualified Health Centers, such as Denver Health Public Health STD/HIV programs. With over 15 years in production, in addition to supporting LHJ’s (Local Health Jurisdictions), we have participated in National Institute of Health and CMS Federal Innovations grants which utilized our home testing platform. This software is specifically designed with public health in mind, with a robust administrative backend toolset to support front end clients. Through the State of California Department of Public Health STD branch, we have developed a platform that not only supports large urban LHJs but supports multiple small rural LHJs by utilizing shared platform instances that keep department programs and data separate, but leverages collective resources for cost efficiencies. The software offers multiple configuration options to support in-house, public lab or commercial lab testing, self or contracted fulfillment options, and multiple models for test kit distribution. Although commonly used for STI testing, this platform supports any home testing needs, including infectious diseases like COVID or other chronic disease monitoring and screening. . It has a built-in notification system that can also be leveraged for secure patient communications and messaging. Testing can be configured as either anonymous or ID verified as defined by administrative business rules. The software supports either free or self-pay options. With highly configurable eligibility and results feedback, it also contains configurable internal data reports and survey capabilities. Current uses include 3 site extra genital returnable tests and non-returnable rapid HIV tests. Any lab validated home collected tests are supported, such as DBS (Dried Blood Spot) for HIV, Syphilis, and hepatitis B & C.
