The DevOpsGroup Cloud Academy involves a comprehensive bootcamp followed by ongoing coaching and support. First off, we ensure your team has a strong understanding of cloud as well as key principles related to agile and DevOps ways of working. Once this foundational knowledge is secure, we move on to more advanced technical content. Depending on your organisation’s needs and chosen cloud provider or providers, this could include AWS Solutions Architect Associate or AWS Solutions SysOps Associate training.All training is provided by our own expert practitioners. They share real-world experience and knowledge to empower your team and fast-track their learning. The bootcamp can be conducted in-person, but we also have an online portal and learning system which enables us to deliver the training remotely.

The Cloud Academy bootcamp

Our bootcamp is carefully curated to build confidence and practical capabilities. We use ‘back of the room’ techniques which encourage participants to think for themselves and work with each other. This fosters teamworking skills as well as the ability to think critically and act decisively. Course content can be tailored to your requirements, but typically includes the following elements:

• BCS Foundation Certificate in Agile - This certification ensures a broad understanding of agile principles. It’s designed for people who are new to agile, introducing them to core concepts and showing why they are superior to conventional methods.

• BCS Foundation Certificate in DevOps - DevOps values, practices and techniques are essential knowledge for cloud engineers. This course outlines the benefits of DevOps and continuous delivery as well as common tools, methodologies and critical success factors.

• AWS Cloud Practitioner- Once foundational knowledge is secure, we switch to technical aspects of cloud engineering. This involves building practical skills and a deep understating of cloud platforms, from billing and pricing models to key services and architectural principles.

• Git Fundamentals - Next, delegates learn about Git, the distributed version-control system for tracking changes in source code during software development. Tailored practical exercises help to build confidence in this engineering and development tool.

• AWS Solutions Architect Associate - Finally, delegates deploy their own applications, defining solutions using architectural design principles based on customer needs. They also learn to provide lifecycle implementation guidance rooted in organisational best practice.

A recent study conducted by ESG concluded that AWS certified cloud engineers delivered operational advantages including helping organizations complete cloud projects faster and improve workload security.
