Cacti is a web application created to provide you with a system that allows you to build charts using RRDtool. Cacti collects statistical data for specific time intervals and allows you to display them in graphical form. Mostly standard templates are used to display statistics on processor load, RAM allocation, the number of running processes, and the use of incoming / outgoing traffic.

Data sources can be created that utilize RRDTool's "create" and "update" functions. Each data source can be used to gather local or remote data and placed on a graph.
