Spatial Features is a dataset curated by CARTO providing access to a set of location-based features with global coverage that have been unified in a common geographic supports (eg. H3 grid).
This product has been specially designed to facilitate spatial modeling at scale. Spatial Features includes core demographic data, POI aggregations by category, climatology, elevation and a proprietary urbanity model that have been generated by processing and unifying globally available sources such as Worldpop, OpenStreetMap, and WorldClim. This listing offers public access to the data in the United States of America aggregated at the H3 Resolution 8.
##Fields Included:
Total Population
Population by gender
Population by age
Points of Interest by category (retail, transportation, tourism, healthcare, etc.)
Incorporate geospatial signals into your revenue prediction model by enriching the trade areas of each of your stores with CARTO Spatial Features to characterize each of them based on the demographics and points of interest surrounding them. Understand how the different spatial features impact your sales across your business footprint and use them to predict your sales potential in parts of the territory where you do not have presence. How do your sales per store vary depending on the age and gender of the population surrounding them? Do you sell more when your stores are located near tourism attractions? How much more?
Regulatory and Compliance Information
This dataset is provided “AS IS” without any warranty, express or implied from CARTO. CARTO disclaims all liability for any damages, direct or indirect, resulting from the use of the dataset.
About CARTO
From smartphones to connected cars, location data is changing the way we live and the way we run businesses. Everything happens somewhere, but visualizing data to see where things are isn’t the same as understanding why they happen there. CARTO is the world’s leading Location Intelligence platform, enabling organizations to use spatial data and analysis for more efficient delivery routes, better behavioral marketing, strategic store placements, and much more. Data Scientists, Developers and Analysts use CARTO to optimize business processes, and predict future outcomes through the power of Spatial Data Science.

Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
This listing uses a single pricing dimension: Product Access (Units). You buy access under a contract, with the number of units set at purchase. Pricing scales with the quantity of units you commit to, rather than through separate tiers or instance sizes. This dimension grants access to the spatial features dataset, which is offered at global scope and H3 resolution 8. There is one billing structure to evaluate, so your cost depends on how many access units you subscribe to for the contract term.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one Product Access unit grant me in this listing?
One unit grants access to the Spatial Features dataset at global scope and H3 resolution 8. H3 is a grid system that divides the world into hexagonal cells; resolution 8 sets the cell size. You count units by the quantity you commit to at purchase.
How is this dataset delivered and where does it run?
The dataset runs natively on your cloud data warehouse using native data-sharing. You access it through connections between the platform and your warehouse, without copying data across environments. Access continues for the contract term you subscribe to.
Does my cost change if I query the dataset more heavily during the term?
No. This dimension charges for access under a fixed contract, based on the number of units you commit to at purchase. Your cost does not rise with query volume or how often you use the data during the term. There are no usage tiers to cross.

Wherobots is the AI Context Engine for the Physical World: the missing infrastructure layer for AI that needs to reason about physical reality. Existing AI context infrastructure was built for text, code and traditional databases. The most consequential enterprise decisions involve assets in the built environment: supply chains, climate exposure, geopolitics, infrastructure, and more.
Wherobots helps teams process satellite imagery at planetary scale, run precise spatial joins across billions of geometries, deploy computer vision models on Earth data, and give AI agents persistent memory of everything their organization does in the physical world. Built by the original creators of Apache Sedona, in use by teams at Amazon, Uber, Overture Maps, Here Technologies, Cotality, Regrid, and thousands more.
