Product Overview

Bitnami's Redmine Multi-Tier with Amazon RDS for MariaDB is a pre-configured, ready to run CloudFormation template for running Redmine on Amazon EC2 and Amazon RDS for MariaDB. Using Amazon RDS removes the overhead involved with managing database administration, backups, monitoring, scaling and replication of the database. Redmine is a very popular Rails-based open source bug tracker to help you manage issues and tasks for multiple projects. It is extremely flexible, features a built-in wiki, time tracking, custom fields, role-based access, SCM integration (including git), and support for multiple projects. This solution uses one virtual machine with the application front-end and Amazon Amazon RDS for MariaDB as a managed database. After deployment of this template, both the database and the front-end can be scaled individually.

Advantages of Using a Bitnami Solution:

  • Up to date: We track every Redmine release and update our implementation promptly afterward.
  • Secure: If serious security issues are discovered, we provide new versions the application as soon as possible, often within hours of the availability of a fix.
  • Consistent: All apps and dev environments are packaged and configured consistently across operating systems.
  • Free of charge: Only pay for AWS consumption resources. Bitnami solutions are made available at no additional cost.
