CDC works 24/7 to protect America from health, safety and security threats, both foreign and in the U.S. Whether diseases start at home or abroad, are chronic or acute, curable or preventable, human error or deliberate attack, CDC fights disease and supports communities and citizens to do the same. As the nation’s health protection agency, CDC saves lives and protects people from health threats. To accomplish its mission, CDC conducts critical science and provides health information that protects against expensive and dangerous health threats, and responds when these arise.

NNDSS data from the 50 states, New York City, the District of Columbia and the U.S. territories are collated and published weekly on the NNDSS Data and Statistics web page (https://wwwn.cdc.gov/nndss/data-and-statistics.html). Cases reported by state health departments to CDC for weekly publication are provisional because of the time needed to complete case follow-up. Therefore, numbers presented in later weeks may reflect changes made to these counts as additional information becomes available. The national surveillance case definitions used to define a case are available on the NNDSS web site at https://wwwn.cdc.gov/nndss/. Information about the weekly provisional data and guides to interpreting data are available at: https://wwwn.cdc.gov/nndss/infectious-tables.html. This data is anonymized/aggregated.

This listing is free to use. You subscribe through a single dimension, Product Access (Units), which grants access to the dataset. There are no tiers, usage levels, or add-on charges to compare. The vendor publishes publicly available data so you can consume it in a consistent format through AWS Data Exchange. Because pricing has one dimension at no cost, you pay nothing based on volume, time, or feature level.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one unit of Product Access grant me?
One unit grants your subscription access to this dataset. It covers the Vibriosis, Confirmed and Vibriosis, Probable data from the NNDSS source. Access is the single billing item, and there is no per-record, per-user, or per-query metering tied to it.
Does my cost change as I query or pull more data?
No. The product is free, so your cost stays at zero regardless of how much data you consume. There are no usage thresholds, overage charges, or tier boundaries that could trigger a cost change. Volume, frequency, and query counts do not affect billing.
How do I receive and consume this dataset once subscribed?
You access the data through AWS Data Exchange. The vendor sources publicly available data and publishes it in a consistent format for subscribers to consume. This lets you feed it into your data pipeline without handling the acquisition and transformation work yourself.
