Easy setup, but far too outdated.

"TurnKey" is a perfect definition for this AWS instance. CouchDB and its companion Futon truly are ready to go out of the box, including a few nice extras like Webmin. Unfortunately the included version of CouchDB (1.2) was far too outdated to be very useful for my needs. Specifically the fact that v1.2 does not support cross-domain requests. Ultimately I found it much easier to install the current version of CouchDB on a fresh Ubuntu AWS instance than it is to upgrade this setup to what I needed.
