Upfront is the appearance of a powerful application and virtual server appliance. I installed the instance close to 72 hours ago from the above date. I held reservations because the AMI was a RHEL and RH explains that, their Linux distro is not comparable to the traditional Linux distros -- meaning it's wholly another specimen.

Upon boot and after system checks, the application failed on all ports except 8888. There's a port not published in the documentation 2554 which must be enabled in the security group, for the virtual -virtual servers to function.

More so, the application was entirely too slow, basically four (4) minutes per process and CPU processing spiking at 120 from one connection. Switching locations, machines and connections didn't work. AWS did report network issues and were then fixed; the application decreased processing time to about 1 - 1 1/2 minute from four (4) minutes. Sure enough after rebooting, reviewing the system checks - I watched a virtual server appliance hang. Reboot - system check -- processor shot up to 120 from one connection and just trying to load.

I contacted the vendor by e-mail and even explained I would hold off on the review for 72 hours -- then the instance was still up. I since closed the instance prior to 72 hours because after checking the monitor, I noticed the AMI bled 2MB per minute, doing nothing!
