Database Security and Compliance for Amazon AWS

not recommended to install from aws marketplace - REVISED
GreenSQL seems to be a good product. It acts as a proxy server between our production MySQL instances running on Amazon RDS, allowing us to monitor and filter access with much more granularity that is available with MySQL alone.
However, this installation method is not one I would recommend. The AWS marketplace installs the server on Amazon Linux, which, as I'm told by GreenSQL support, is not a supported operating system.
I'll update this review if anything changes with my status.
[REVISED]
After our initial troubleshooting we found a different source for the problem, not the operating system, which means the AWS Marketplace is a simple way to get up and running.
Also, customer service has been great at diagnosing our issue, which turned out to be a virus scanner plugin for chrome on one of our users laptops that made the GreenSQL server think it was being DDoSd.
Anyway, I'd recommend this product and installation method based on this experience.
