Great Service for beginner, will add more as I learn more
Wordpress for years has had a 1click service on all major hosters, another ease of use out of the box feature that has helped them do so well.
For what it is intended for I cannot fault this service, very easy install with guide available for anyone completely alien to development/hosting etc.
As I learn more about developing with Ghost I will add notes encase it makes some of the more complex issue I will no doubt encounter later more difficult.
If you are not planning on editing the code though and want an out of the box solution, this work fine - use it.

Didn't work.
After trying this, installed "Ghost powered by Bitnami (HVM)". it worked like a charm. Don't waste your time with this.
Great solution to get up & running quickly
This AMI helped me get a new instance of ghost running quickly. I haven't done much digging to see the work that went into this image yet, but all seems good thus far. My only feedback would be:
- this image currently has an outdated version of ghost (0.5.8 vs current 0.6.2)
- I'm not familiar with pm2 so it took more work than I expected to figure out how to restart the blog. `pm2 stop all` and `sudo pm2 restart all` didn't work – I had to first `su ghost` and then `pm2 restart all`
- it would be nice to have more information documented about file locations, configured processes, etc.
Thanks for you work!
Didn't work for me.
I get 502 Bad Gateway nginx 1.6.2 . when I try to open. I see a ec2 instance running.
Great blogware, great service by Amazon
I'm very pleased with this service. It's a thoughtful step for a software company who offers a hosting service to put out guides on how to install a full "Ghost stack" on other services. This allows me to test the software for a full year w/out paying a cent (assuming no domain name changes or heavy traffic loads).
I hope to contribute to Ghost in the future, whether it be through plug-ins or themes or just some general troubleshooting on their forums.
If you are looking to create your own blog, this is a great way to do it. Their editor is simple to use and theme addition is fairly straightforward.
Very pleased so far.
